Synopsis

The Keeler Image Eisenhorn is a Warhammer 40,000 novel by Dan Abnett. It is the second book in the Eisenhorn trilogy, following Xenos and preceding Malleus. The novel follows Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn as he investigates a series of murders that seem to be connected to a mysterious religious cult.

Eisenhorn soon discovers that the cult is led by a powerful psyker named Euphrati Keeler. Keeler is a charismatic figure who believes that she is the reincarnation of the Emperor of Mankind. She has gathered a large following of people who believe in her message of hope and salvation.

However, Eisenhorn believes that Keeler is a dangerous heretic. He believes that she is using her powers to manipulate people and that she is a threat to the Imperium. Eisenhorn sets out to stop Keeler and her cult, but he soon discovers that she is not the only one who is interested in her.

Review

The Keeler Image Eisenhorn is a thrilling and thought-provoking sci-fi novel. Abnett does a great job of creating a believable and immersive world. The characters are well-developed and the plot is engaging.

One of the things that I liked most about the novel is the way that Abnett explores the themes of faith and heresy. Eisenhorn is a devout believer in the Emperor of Mankind, but he is also a pragmatist. He knows that there are many threats to the Imperium, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to protect it.

Keeler, on the other hand, is a true believer. She believes that she is the reincarnation of the Emperor, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to spread her message. She is a dangerous and charismatic figure, and she poses a serious threat to the Imperium.

The conflict between Eisenhorn and Keeler is at the heart of the novel. It is a conflict between faith and reason, between hope and despair. Abnett does a great job of exploring this conflict, and he does not offer any easy answers.

The Keeler Image Eisenhorn is a must-read for fans of sci-fi and Warhammer 40,000. It is a thrilling and thought-provoking novel that will stay with you long after you finish it.
