1. Target Practice
This is a great game for kids of all ages. Set up a target (a cone, a bucket, or even a piece of paper) and have kids take turns trying to hit it with the pickleball. You can make the game more challenging by moving the target farther away or by making it smaller.
2. Mini-Tournament
This is a great game for kids who are a little older and have a basic understanding of the game. Divide the kids into teams of two and have them play a mini-tournament. The first team to win a certain number of games (say, 5 or 7) wins the tournament.
3. King of the Court
This is a fun game for kids who are a little more competitive. One player starts as the "king" and stands in the center of the court. The other players try to hit the ball past the king. If a player hits the ball past the king, they become the new king. The game continues until one player has been king for a certain amount of time (say, 5 or 10 minutes).
4. Hot Potato
This is a classic game that can be adapted to pickleball. Have the kids stand in a circle and pass a pickleball around. When the music stops, the kid holding the pickleball is out. The last kid remaining is the winner.
5. Red Light, Green Light
This is another classic game that can be adapted to pickleball. One player stands at one end of the court and calls out "red light" or "green light." When the player calls out "green light," the other players try to run to the other end of the court. When the player calls out "red light," the players must stop. If a player is caught moving when the player calls out "red light," they are out.
6. Musical Chairs
This is a classic game that can be adapted to pickleball. Set up a chair for each player except one. The players walk around the chairs while the music plays. When the music stops, the players must quickly find a chair to sit in. The player who does not find a chair is out. The game continues until there is only one player left.
7. Simon Says
This is a classic game that can be adapted to pickleball. One player is the leader and gives commands to the other players. The commands must start with the phrase "Simon says." If the command does not start with the phrase "Simon says," the players do not have to follow it. If a player follows a command that does not start with the phrase "Simon says," they are out.
8. Follow the Leader
